The August 2011 “Mike O’Hearn/ Croton Warrior Award” goes to Rich and Liz Gaspari for their outstanding contribution to the sport of bodybuilding as well as for their kindness and generosity in helping others reach their dream of health, fitness & well being.
Rich is a bodybuilding legend, having won countless titles including “Mr. America, Mr. Universe, and Professional Mr. World. Rich is also a three-time runner up to the Mr. Olympia and first time winner of the now famous, Arnold Classic. In 2009 Rich was awarded the Ben Weider Lifetime Achievement Award for his achievements both on and off the stage and most recently he was inducted into the Muscle Beach Hall of Fame.
Having spent more than 10 years as a professional bodybuilder and gaining a wealth of experience in diet, nutrition and supplementation, in 2001 Rich put his power of success to work establishing the now world famous, Gaspari Nutrition Company. Vitamin Angels: mobilizing and deploying private sector resources to advance availability, access and use of micronutrients, especially vitamin A, by newborns, infants and children in need.
